Introducing... Advice Columnist, Sally Spouse!
Hello, Military Spouse Community!
My name is Sally Spouse, and I am excited to join the Military Spouse Magazine team as a new advice columnist. I have been a spouse for well over a decade (I really don't want to tip-my hat too much in the age department); have made multiple PCS moves, survived and thrived through many deployments and separations, supported my husbands career every step of the way, and done it all just like so many of you... while juggling kids, pets, family issues, friendships, and my own career aspirations and personal goals!
Early on, I learned that I needed to seek out the advice of spouses who had "been there, done that" if I was going to tackle all of the unique situations with which our family would be faced. I consider myself to be a strong, independent woman... so it was not always easy to admit that I needed some help... but I am so glad that I did! And thanks, in part, to the wisdom and guidance of some pretty amazing military spouses along the way, I am confident that I have been successful in navigating this wonderful, and sometimes crazy military life.
I hope you will find the advice I conjure up to be honest, level-headed, (and most importantly), helpful. I am eager to start answering your questions, so please feel free to post them below. And be on the lookout for my debut column, right here on baseguide.
