I would suggest looking for what's already made in the uniform shop or "pride" section of the exchange (we are Navy, so I apologize if the Marines have a different name for their store!) first - I believe that cutting up current uniforms is considered "destruction of government property"... at least that's what my hubby told me when I wanted fabric for making "uniforms" for his Chief Select egg division...
If that doesn't work out, see if you can find a fabric shop with a similar fabric. Can't help you out with who could actually sew the items, though. Good luck.
Does anyone know where I can send my husband cammies to have made into back packs and purses for my kids? I do not own a sewing machine and I am not that crafty. I live in Stafford Va, the closest base is Quantico. I would appreciate any suggestions.
