LuLaRoe
Meet: Emily Castillo
Emily is inching toward her thirtieth birthday and the proud mother of 4-year-old and 20-month-old girls.
Married seven years and together for 12, she knows life as a military spouse can be challenging, but she’s determined to find a way to balance the craziness that comes with a military lifestyle.
Ahead of her birthday, Emily decided to try something new and became a LuLaRoe consultant, because in her opinion, it was a career move with little risk.
“There aren’t many challenges for my LuLaRoe business as far as being a military wife goes! I can pick up and leave and bring it all with me! What’s great is that I can do everything online and through multiple social media outlets!” She first learned about LuLaRoe a year ago and fell in love as a customer but grew to desire a role within the company, largely thanks to the company’s founder.
“She encourages us to give to others and be day makers. I also need to make mention that of course the potential profit drew me to becoming a consultant. I have seen so many videos and talked to a handful of consultants that say they make enough money to send their kids to private school, get a new car or even make enough that their husband his job and is a full LuLaRoe husband!”
AdvoCare
Meet: Meagan Koch
“By no means am I, nor will I ever be, a pushy sales person,” Meagan quickly pointed out. To her, this business venture isn’t a business…it’s a hobby.
“I put God and family foremost in my life and AdvoCare comes after all of that…AdvoCare is huge a believer in putting your faith first, then focusing on respecting and strengthening your family and lastly focusing on AdvoCare.”
She first fell in love with the products more than 16 years ago when she was in college and started using a few of them to lose weight and have more energy. She met her health goals very fast; fast forward 10 years and she had a husband who was deployed, a young child at home and a role as a stay-at-home Mom.
After talking with a friend, she decided to sign up with the company to cash in on a great discount for the products she loved; before long, she began researching the business side of it all and realized she could send her daughter to preschool by sharing her AdvoCare story with others.
Her background as a professional counselor left her longing to help others and this new “hobby” allows her to do that. For Meagan, 2016 will be the year she increases sales while continuing to support her family by using a product that she loves and can share with her friends and family. “With God and family, and I know for a fact, I will reach my goals for 2016!”
Whether a hobby, a new venture or a main source of income for their families, these women have taken the deck they’ve been dealt as military families on-the-go, balancing kids, deployments and housework…and thrown a career into the mix.
And they know that running their own businesses provides a sense of independence and accomplishment few other activities can…lets give give it up to these successful MOMtrepreneurs!
