There are templates for everything today, including how to write a complete book. We fill in those blanks, but we are a society that rarely mails a handwritten note or card. Imagine how your e-mailing would improve if you spent more time composing actual letters?
E-mails should possess elements of professional sentence style and proportionate lengths and layouts. For example: Business writing inside an e-mail should retain the same formula as a physical business letter. (And yes, you can search “business letter” on the Internet and find out exactly how it should be structured.)
How to Write “Read Me” E-mails
Want to write e-mails that people are impressed by? The most important lesson of all when writing an e-mail: Read the e-mail twice before sending.
Read your e-mail once through from the beginning for perfect syntax, making any necessary changes. Then read your e-mail backwards (literally backwards, from the last word to the first) in search of misspelled words. You’ll thank me for this last tip!
