Tickets & Technology
Disney – Disney Salute Tickets for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland offer amazing deals each year, plus you can combine with discounts on hotel accommodations and Disney Cruise Line military discounted fares. The discount changes every year, but in 2020, you could snag Four-Day Park Hopper Tickets for $265!
Waived Airline Baggage Fees – Almost all airlines offer waived baggage fees for military. Delta, United, and American Airlines offer five free bags! Southwest and Spirit offer special discounts as well.
Waived Car Registration Fees – Not all states require military or military dependents to register their car, since it’s a temporary assignment, but in most states that do, military members are exempt from paying any fees to register their car.
SiriusXM – SiriusXM offers a 25% discount to military personnel, including veterans, retirees, active duty and reserves. Please visit siriusxm.com/military25 for more information.
Verizon* – Verizon offers a 15% discount to military members, veterans, and military families on phone plans, as well as discounts up to 25% on some accessories purchased via the My Verizon portal.
Apple – Veterans and military personnel receive a 10% discount on Apple products. You may also purchase for immediate family who live in the same household!
Tutor.com – Tutor.com for US military families, funded by the US Department of Defense and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, is a program that provides on-demand, online tutoring and homework help at no cost to eligible service members, civilian personnel, and their dependents. With live, expert tutors available 24/7, military-connected students can receive academic help at their moment of need—anywhere they have an internet connection.
Dollywood – The discount, which saves you and your family a whopping 30%, is available for active/retired military, disabled veterans, and military reservists, as well as their spouses and dependents.
American Express – Military can receive the American Express credit card upgrade to platinum with a waived $500 membership fee. You will get priority passage into airport centurion lounges (and many others) included! You also get a $200 airline refund each year (for baggage or any other fees).
T-Mobile – Check out their special military-online plans, like the Magenta® Military for $25/line (for 4 lines with AutoPay – $100/mo) or the Magenta® Plus Military for $35/line (for 4 lines with AutoPay – $140/mo).
SeaWorld® – Through the Waves of Honor program, military personnel and up to three direct dependents may enjoy one complimentary admission per year to SeaWorld® in San Diego. This offer extends to any US active duty military member, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman.
Shopping & Memberships
Keen – Keen offers 50% off! Military can sign up for their Pro Club using the military member’s email. Watch out for the super strict 30 day return window!
Tiffany’s – Tiffany’s offers 10% off engagement rings and wedding bands for active duty, reservists and veterans of the US Armed Forces. Fiancés, domestic partners, wives and husbands are eligible for the accommodation even
if their US military partner is stationed overseas and not able to come into the store. However, it may not be extended to anyone else, including family members.
Servicemembers Civil Relief Act – You could be reimbursed hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars from your credit card company, as they may retroactively reimburse you for the amount of money you have paid toward interest. It differs based on your credit card company, so read the fine print!
Nautica – Nautica offers 10% off with military ID or VA ID. Active, reserve, retiree, veterans and dependents are all eligible.
Lululemon – Lululemon offers 25% off in-store only, but you can take your online receipt into the store for a price adjustment.
Lowe’s – In addition to those currently serving, people who are retired from the US Armed Forces or have been honorably discharged will now receive a 10% discount at Lowe’s, in store and online. To get the discount, enroll at lowes.com/military. Request a MyLowes card and show it at store checkout or when shopping online.
Old Navy – Offers a 10% off military discount to active, retired, and reserve US military personnel and family members with valid military ID. Customers must present their military ID to a store associate. (The military discount is currently only available at stores, not online, as employees need to verify a military ID.)
Kohls – Kohls offers 15% off on Mondays for active duty, veterans, retirees, and their immediate family members!
1-800-Flowers – All military members, veterans, and their family members save 20% off on products, and they offer national and international delivery!
National Parks – Service members (including activated members of the National Guard and reserves) and their dependents can obtain the National Park Service’s annual pass for free. The pass must be obtained in person at a federal recreation site by showing a Common Access Card (CAC) or military ID (Form 1173).
Under Armour – Under Armour® offers 40% off all purchases for all active duty service members, retirees, veterans, military spouses and military family members, as well as 40% off for first responders, healthcare workers and active police, fire, nurses, doctors, and EMT customers. You can use your discount while shopping on UA.com and UA App by verifying your eligibility with ID.me.
Geico – Active duty, veterans, or members of the National Guard or reserves, you may be eligible for a discount of up to 15% on your total insurance premium.
Sherwin Williams – Sherwin Williams offers 15% off paints, stains and painting supplies to men and women who are currently serving, are reservists or have served in the military, and their spouses.
YMCA – The YMCA Military Outreach Initiative offers free membership AND childcare (yes!) to qualified military members and families nationwide. You must apply and get approved!
