Summoned Series Event Serves Women in the Military Community

Does the task of disciple-making seem overwhelming, or even impossible? Do you feel anxious about sharing your faith or do the details of your own story make you feel disqualified from The Great Commission? Or, are you wondering what Christianity is all about- looking for answers you just can’t seem to find?

After running on fumes and existing in “survival mode” for the majority of the last two years, it’s time to refresh and restore our hearts through God’s Word. And, you are invited!

The military conference circuit has a new addition and this event has been specifically designed just for you. The Summoned Series is a one-day military women’s ministry event designed to reinvigorate women toward the call of Christ. God calls each us to serve Him by making disciples and now, more than ever, we should strive to recalibrate our hearts toward this task. To be summoned is to be authoritatively and urgently called- a command to be present. God is calling us with an urgency to build His Kingdom.

The goal is simple. Provide women in the military community- both military women in uniform and military wives- with a place to get connected to God and each other.

As military community members, we are in constant need of connection. Making friends and creating support systems at new duty stations, or rebuilding them after PCS season, is such an important part of how we live our lives. In addition, building Christian community helps us to maintain a connection with The Lord as we look for new church homes, plug into current church programs, and transition to new places.

Join us for a one-day gathering to receive encouragement in the waiting of life, hear expository teaching for practical Christian living, and be empowered to pursue The Great Commission.

The day will be spent hearing from theologically sound Bible teachers, preachers, and ministry leaders. Worship will be in plenty and the opportunities to build community together is endless.

Our first stop will be Pensacola, FL- partnering with Olive Baptist Church, the Warrington Campus, right outside of NAS Pensacola. Later this year, we will also be visiting Fort Bragg and hosting a flagship event at Keesler AFB.

Co-sponsored by the Military Missions Network and Military Ministry at Olive Baptist Church, the Summoned Series event in Pensacola FL will feature Kathy Litton and Dr. Ted Traylor. Moody Publishers has also sponsored some amazing swag- a sampler of Trillia Newbell’s book “If God is for Us” and IVP Press is providing a digital copy of one of my favorite books to everyone who registers!
