- Stretch before bed. It may feel silly breaking into downward dogs and hip stretches in your hotel room but long hours in a car are notorious for leading to tight hips and sore necks. Try to stretch as much as possible in order to prevent this. I’ve even done quick standing stretches in bathrooms at rest stops before. Everything helps!
