The Fourth of July is a day that represents more than when it had originated. It is a holiday when all American’s come together to celebrate our beautiful nation and the continuous expansion of freedom throughout history. American freedom started by declaring Independence from Britain. Bringing the freedom to own land, bear arms, and worship your own God to this new nation.
As time went on that freedom was expanded to all of man, breaking the chains of slavery. Freedom that would come to give all women a voice and allow for same-sex couples to marry. Freedom to live in peace, and to voice our own opinions. Freedom that was protected by the immense sacrifice in wars on this land and lands of great distance.
Forever expanding the foundation of this great nation with freedom. A foundation that is built on a land of rolling hills, and mountain peaks. A place that has endless prairies, rivers, lakes, and streams.
A nation that is sacred and full of colossal beauty.
Year after year American independence and freedom is a celebrated tradition. A celebration that lights up the night sky, as music from the past and present fill the air. Children dancing with their bare feet grasping the American soil, under the glow of sparklers. Young adults’ hand and hand soaking up a patriotic summer love.
A picturesque scene of quilted blankets filling hillsides, as rural towns across this land anticipate the “Sound of Freedom.”
The smell of burgers and burning marshmallows on roasting sticks.
Red, white, and blue parades, and small-town baking competitions. Gatherings of family, friends, and neighbors. It is a day full of patriotism, gratefulness, and humility.
A celebration where Americans absorb all of the freedoms they are afforded and to remember all of those who have fought to defend those very freedoms.
All across this nation, American flags are flown high as the country comes together to reflect on how far we have come.
A place that our ancestors can say has grown better and wiser than they had envisioned. A day that brings hope that this nation will continue to be free for future generations.
A celebration of a country that stands strong together as one. Where every community supports this nation, that we all call home.
A nation that is beautiful, and free!
A nation called America.
