5) “How would you feel if your spouse died?”
I’ve tried really hard to come up with a reasonable answer to this question…but my blood pressure just won’t allow it.
It’s one of those questions that people need to know is NOT okay to ask someone who has a loved one serving, ESPECIALLY during a time of war.
Don’t ask about the one worry that tops the list of things that keep us awake at night.
My answer is also simple, but precise:
“How would you feel if your spouse died? My love isn’t any different just because I married someone in the military. It’s my worst fear and I would rather not talk about it.”
Certainly there are other questions that many of you have been asked. They have made you cringe. We want to know…what was the question, and how did you respond?
