I decided to start an ‘End the Trend’ movement and asked that the people on my page tag me in their patriotic pictures. I have to be honest with you I was absolutely shocked by the depth of this issue and how many people responded. Within minutes I had hundreds of messages from ladies who wanted to share their pictures with me. Professional photos, genuine family pictures… all pictures that they are too scared to post on the internet for their family and friends to see. Many joined me in standing proud in their Navy hoodies, Marine shirts, and Airforce and Army PT gear, but the amount of people too afraid to post the pictures most important to them truly hurt my soul. Moments after we had all joined together on my page against bullying, their fears became justified when our pictures ended up right back in the hands of internet bullies who didn’t dare show their faces or voice their opinions on my page.
Grow. Up.
If you have enough time in your day to pay attention to someone else’s clothing then perhaps you should find a hobby. I hear the FRG is looking for volunteers. AND if you have the energy to care about said clothing then go have a baby. You will no longer have the energy. AND if you think that your opinion means jack squat to anyone then please enlighten us all as to why you resigned from your imaginary position at Michael Kors to settle for a position as a keyboard fashion critique.
We are married to elite men and women. Perhaps we should all consider that the next time we spew hate at another human being for shallow ridiculousness.
I will continue to wear my husband’s PT shirts and if you have a problem with it then that is exactly what it is, your problem.
I urge every one of you to ‘END THE TREND’. Share your pictures with us. Post your photos to Facebook tagged with #endthetrend and see all the men and women who are right there with you.
I don’t care, do you?
