Driving Miss Crazy
"I lived on base and was driving home clearly on auto pilot one day. I didn't see the gate guard because he was in the guard shack, so I just drove through the gate without realizing it! He (obviously) freaked out and started screaming and running! I finally realized what I'd done, pulled over, and apologized. Surprisingly he didn't give me a ticket (Thank GOD)!" -Brandy O.
3. Fly on the Wall
"We went to a squadron family picnic to meet the new commander. We gave the usual "be respectful and nice to everyone" speech to our kids before left. Once we arrived, the Squadron commander came up and starts talking to our son (the spunkiest of all my kids) and asks if he is having fun. So OF COURSE my son replies with, "Next time they should have it inside during fly season. ..I can't eat anything without a fly pooping on my food." -Tesha J.
4. (No biggie, right?) At a unit event later that year, their youngest daughter came up to me (in front of a large group of people, of COURSE) and said, 'we miss you when are you going to come sleep in Daddy's bed again'." #idied -Erica M.
5. One of the boys in the class (who also has a pilot dad) obviously said HE wants to be a fighter pilot too. My daughter, without missing a beat, quipped (a little louder than intended), 'No dude...You have to pick a real job that an adult does'." -Alexandra B.
6. They got alerted in the middle of the night. Her battalion XO called and said "hey Big Wheel get your ass here. We're a go". I thought it was a prank caller being a pervert, so I cursed him out then hung up. We walked up to a large group of my husband’s friends and their spouses and it was chaos! One of the wives hair-do was completely jacked and since we were staying in the hotel that night I offered to have her come up to our room and I would re-do her hair. EXCEPT it came out more like 'You can come up to our room….I can give you a blow job'." #MORTIFIED -M.J.B So what's YOUR most Laughable Military Moment?
