On March 2nd, Milspouses all over the world are coming together for an IF:MIL 1-Day Event.
Since the September launch of IF:Military, a new initiative and ministry arm of IF:Gathering, women in the military community from all branches have been coming together to build fellowship that endures, in country and abroad. Women from the four corners are opening their homes to welcome their fellow military spouses and active duty service members. They are sharing the love of Jesus and are creating spaces where others can be ushered into God’s presence through hospitality.
What is IF:Gathering?
IF:Gathering was founded by Jennie Allen, Author of the Lifeway Bible study, “Proven” and a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. IF:Gathering reaches women through annual events held in Dallas, their IF:Equip Bible studies, and their community dinners called IF:Tables. IF:Gathering’s dream, since its 2014 inception, was to equip women through gospel centered resources, events, and community so they may learn about who God is and disciple other women right where they are. Find out more by visiting www.ifgathering.com.
Their focus has remained the same and the experience of IF:Gathering goes far beyond the live conference stage. IF:Gathering’s livestream and simulcast of the event, named IF:Local, has been viewed over 150,000 times with women impacted in over 22 countries. IF:Gathering is the only Christian event in North America to trend on Facebook. This epic simulcast has been condensed into a one-day digital access specifically tailored for the military community.
IF:Mil 1-Day will be hosted across the country and abroad on March 2nd, 2019.
Applicable segments, military relevant conversation cards, and even a special message to IF:Military participants will be included. IF:Gathering has also made the decision to make this digital access to as many military spouses and active duty service women as possible by cutting the registration fee by 50%, with the lowest tier reduced to only $25 for a small group gathering of 10 or less.
Hosting an IF:Mil 1-Day will be a phenomenal opportunity to reach those in your local places, to provide a place where they can be served and find rest. This active duty lifestyle can be overwhelming and isolating. By opening your home or local chapel to receive women, you can be a catalyst for your installation’s community. Not only will you be gifting an opportunity for connection to those around you, but you’ll also be refreshed by the experience. You’ll spend the day together watching the inspiring messages of IF:Gathering’s amazing Bible teachers, sharing in authentic conversation, and rallying around worship.
What does an IF:Mil 1-Day Event look like?
IF:Mil One-Day will be an opportunity to gather in homes, communities, and military chapels. Women will come together to watch inspiring talks from the IF:Gathering 2019 event and connect over intentional conversation. This event will be a time to share and to encourage each other in this active duty lifestyle.
Who can host? Anyone in the military community is eligible to host. All branches/ ranks of active duty service members, spouses of active duty members, reservists, and retirees are invited to host an IF:Mil 1-Day Event.
What is the cost? The cost varies and depends on the number of people you plan to attend. The lowest tier is only $25. Each tier increases by event size. You can find more information here, on the IF:Military landing page. Also, if finances are a hinderance, you can apply for a scholarship or deferred payment options.
