6. Junk Phase
Maybe it’s just me, but every time I move all my nice things suddenly become “junk” once it’s time to pack them, and I’m betting you feel the same if you opt to move yourself.
7. Anxiety Phase
Moving is stressful no matter what the situation, and by throwing a bunch of military jargon and things out of your control into the pot, you can’t help but feel like your anxiety level is going to bubble over sometimes.
8. Excitement Phase
It’s true, the when and the where of transferring is completely out of your control, but once you surrender to that truth you can’t help but be excited about the possibility of a new place, new friends and new adventures.
9. Gratitude Phase
This crazy ride that is military life isn’t for everyone, but for those of us who’ve chosen it or chosen to be by our service member’s side through it, you can’t help but feel a little grateful to explore new locales and make new memories with your loved ones as you embark on another new PCS journey together.
