10 Tips to Rock Your Swimsuit with Confidence This Summer

I’m all for self-empowerment, especially when it comes to body image and loving our bodies- in every unique, beautiful shape and form they come in.

That being said, even the most empowered, confident woman can feel a little self-conscious and nervous when swimsuit season comes around. I consider myself a pretty confident woman, but I have to admit, staring down the face of a two piece definitely shakes my self-assurance at the thought of baring that much skin in public.

Feeling a little self-conscious in a bikini is totally normal and we all want to look our best on the beach or frolicking next to the pool this summer.

Here are 10 tips to help you be your most confident, sexiest self on the beach this summer:

10. Hydrate like it’s going out of style

It may seem counter intuitive, but the more water you drink, the less water you’ll retain.

In the days leading up to your beach vacation or summer outing, try to drink 8-12 cups of water a day, and even more than that if you exercise! Which brings me to my next point….

9. Nothing helps you banish the bloat like some good old fashioned cardio

Do 30-60 minutes of cardio daily leading up to your beach vacation, with some strength training thrown in every other day to look your sexiest, toned self. You’ll feel fitter and more confident.

On the day you’re donning that ‘kini, get some extra toning in by doing:

3 sets of 20 squats, lunges and push-ups, followed by 30-60 second plank holds.

It will give your booty and your guns a toned look and boost on the beach.
