Big Changes for Marine Corps Leadership

The Marine Corps officially has new Leadership in town.

During a change of command ceremony at Marine Barracks Washington last Thursday September 24th, General Robert B. Neller assumed his post as the 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps.  D’Arcy Neller, his wife of 40 years, will be joining him to reside at the Home of the Commandants.

With the passing of command complete, where does that leave our 36th Commandant of the Marine Corps?

On Friday, September 25th, General Joseph F. Dunford, joined by his wife Ellyn, became the 19th chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at a ceremony on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall.  General Dunford is replacing Army General Martin E. Dempsey as the highest ranking military officer in the United States. General Dempsey, joined by his wife Deanie, has retired after 41 faithful years in uniform.

Please join us in bidding a fond Hail and Farewell to our incoming and outgoing leadership!
