Blue Star Families Unveils 11th Annual Military Lifestyle Survey with “Path to Recovery” Event Featuring Members of Congress, Defense Leaders, and Experts Discussing Top Issues Impacting Military Families
Virtual panels to discuss race & diversity; housing issues; female military experience; and children’s mental health following largest survey of its kind with more than 10,000 respondents across active-duty, National Guard, and Reserve service members, veterans, and their families
On Tuesday, March 30th and Wednesday, March 31st at 12:00 PM EST, Blue Star Families, a national non-profit dedicated to supporting military families and strengthening communities, will host a virtual event titled “The Military Family Experience 2021: Path to Recovery” to unveil the results of the 11th annual Military Family Lifestyle Survey (aMFLS). The aMFLS, the largest and most comprehensive survey of its kind, identifies the most important issues and toughest challenges facing military families, and the event will feature military and defense leaders including Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense Health Affairs Dr. Terry Adirim and other defense community experts speaking to the military family experience of 2020.
Following a year of unprecedented challenges, the event will focus on four key issues across two days of virtual panels: race & diversity; housing issues; female military experience; and children’s mental health. Detailed schedule below.

The event will be on the record and open to members of the press. Each panel will be followed by a deep-dive discussion that is open to the public and members of the media.
