What Do Parrotheads, Pentatonix and PBS All Have In Common??
They’ll all be celebrating America’s 242nd Birthday at the 38th Annual broadcast of A Capitol Fourth concert LIVE from the West Lawn of the Capitol in Washington D.C…and YOU’RE INVITED!
John Stamos is back again this year to host the country’s longest-running July 4 TV tradition that culminates in a display of fireworks that light up D.C.’s iconic skyline. But you don’t have to take our word for it! Check out this short clip from a previous firework display!
The star-studded line-up include musical performances from: Jimmy Buffett and the Broadway cask of Escape to Margaritaville, The Beach Boys, Pentatonix, The Temptations, Luke Combs, CeCe Winans, and many more!
The all-star cast will also be honoring American military families across the globe with a special tribute. Soprano superstar, Renee’ Fleming, will be performing You’ll Never Walk Alone.
(spoiler alert: keep an eye out for your fellow military families in the D.C. area…you might get to see them on-screen!)
With a sweltering heat wave hitting a large part of the nation, why not beat the heat by hosting A Capitol Fourth viewing party? The folks over at PBS have everything you need from recipes to games (and even a really cool Trivia Challenge)! They even have a Pre-Show Playlist on Spotify just for you, and would love to see your crew celebrating our country’s independence! Whether you’re grilling out with friends or on a cross-country PCS trek, just post your July 4th photo-ops on social media using the hashtag: #July4thPBS
