Alexandria, VA — August 20, 2019 — The National Military Family Association Board of Governors is delighted to announce Ashish S. Vazirani as the organization’s new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Vazirani, who most recently served as the Chief Development Officer of the Armed Services YMCA, is an accomplished leader and development executive with a track record of setting up organizations on a trajectory for growth.

At ASYMCA, Vazirani developed lasting relationships to sustain and grow the organization’s varied programming. Prior to his service with the ASYMCA, Vazirani spent more than two decades as a management consultant and working in advisory roles for organizations including the USO (2011-2014) and Operation Homefront (2014-2017). Vazirani served in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Officer from 1986-1993. He holds a B.E. in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University, an M.E. from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University, and an M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Vazirani will begin his new role on September 16. The National Military Family Association is the leading nonprofit dedicated to serving the families who stand behind the uniform.
