Students Lead “March for Our Lives” Rallies Across the Nation

Today, tens of thousands of children around the nation utilized their First Amendment right and spoke out in unity for March for Life 2018.

The main event was in Washington DC, with scheduled marches in over 30 major cities and smaller marches in many more cities across the country.

This movement was inspired by the outspoken students who suffered from the Parkland tragedy.

USA Today reports:

“‘Welcome to the revolution,’ said Cameron Kasky, who was the first student speaker at the massive March for Our Lives in Washington, D.C., on Saturday. “My generation has spent our entire lives seeing mass shooting after mass shooting,” and that needs to end now.

Within 24 hours of the Feb. 14 shooting rampage at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in which 17 people were slain, the Parkland students catapulted themselves into the forefront of the gun-control movement — calling out lawmakers who take contributions from the NRA and vowing that they would be the “last” mass shooting.”

No matter which side of the gun control argument you fall on, today’s march was a monumental outcry from the future generation.
