3. The Memory Keeper
The ridiculously long instagram posts, borderline uncomfortable Facebook descriptions and a million selfies (or rather “groupies,”) before and during events are often acts practiced by such a friend. It’s true that the constant indulgence in memory keeping can at times be taxing but you should really thank the girl/guy with the camera… s/he is the reason everyone knows you have friends.
4. The Awkward Friend
Somebody somewhere once said that the only way to fight awkwardness is with awkwardness. A friend that owns his/her awkwardness is a force to be reckoned with. Spelling her name with her booty on the dance floor because homegirl’s momma forgot to “give it to her,” or knowingly and proudly mispronouncing every menu item incorrectly are a few examples of owning the awkward. Such practices enable the rest of us to shed a few layers of would-be-embarrassment and just roll with it.
5. The Cheerleader
Everyone needs a friend that is pro-YOU. These friends are priceless in that they are often cheap therapy. Friends like this remind us of whom we are even when we sometimes fail to remember.
