Applying ABA — Available resources
So say someone reads this and wants to use ABA in their parenting plan — where do you recommend they start?
Well first, if they find that their child is exhibiting more severe and/or violent behavior, or behaviors that are not able to figure out on their own, then they should speak to their pediatrician about their concerns.
Otherwise, there are some wonderful and free resources available to parents. I would encourage parents to create a deliberate parenting plan, and learning and implementing ABA principles is a great framework to do so. This will empower you to be proactive, rather than reactive, and make for an all-around happier mommy, daddy, and child!
