Cue Kiki (Kristen Bell), who is an equally frazzled stay-at-home mama of FOUR, and Carla (Kathryn Hahn), who provides free-spirited comic relief from beginning to end … together, this trifecta of freedom makes it their mission to STOP living up to society’s expectations of motherhood and START living up to their OWN.
They make a pact to stop driving themselves crazy and start being Bad Moms.
Now, I don’t want to spoil the movie for you so I’m going to end my review here. However, I have some parting advice for everyone out there who has always wanted to just say ‘screw it’ and go for less than perfection sometimes:
It is high-time YOU had a night out. Yes, YOU!
It is high-time we ALL drop our packs when we need to. We do NOT need to have it all together all of the time.
So I challenge you to DROP. YOUR. PACK.
Our kids will not need therapy if we go out for a night with our friends and have fun.
They will not die a horrible death if they eat cereal for dinner here and there.
And since we have all managed to find a way to keep them safe, healthy, loved, fed, clothed and (for the most part) clean, day in and day out; then for the love of all that is holy, they can wait 5 minutes for us to pee in PEACE!
So yea…go ahead and DROP YOUR PACK. You can start by watching the trailer below!
