Welcome to my Wind River Valley Series!
The Wind River Valley is located about fifty miles south of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is in the wilds, quite literally, bracketed by the Wilson Range on the west of the valley, and the Salt River Range on the eastern border. It’s here that you’ll meet my latest characters – wranglers, ranchers, cowboys – and the women they fall in love with.
Many of our military men and women, returning from combat, the war may continue to go on quietly inside them. This Wyoming valley is comprised of ranch families who are patriotic and believe in helping those that sacrificed so much for our freedom. Their stories are of struggle, support by other vets, finding love in the midst of their bid to reintegrate into society. Above all, they will discover that love is the greatest healer of all. I believe love is the most powerful, positive human emotion we have within us. It is the most healing and unifying emotion. That is why I write love stories: to teach gently about the goodness and the heart of our military people and the unselfish service they give to America.
I served in the US Navy as a meteorologist during the Vietnam War Era, stateside, in the U.S.A. and I’ve devoted my heart and life to telling stories about the honorable women and men who have all sacrificed much more than most Americans ever will, so that all of us has the freedom we enjoy so much today. Even after writing almost 200 novels, my military characters and their families are the still the ones I cherish most.
If you’re still in the mood for more military men and cowboys after Home to Wind River, be sure to check out the other books in the series, which you can find here.
