Dear Mindy, Cold Feet as a New Spouse

Dear Mindy,

I’m new. Not even a year into this as a spouse and just two years in the relationship that started 5 months before boot camp.

I did the whole leaving home and coming to the first duty station and I did it all with no one but my sailor. I’m here and we have a home and all of the wonderful stuff, but I seem to have lost myself.

I’m lonely and I feel like I’ve became lost as a person. I love my wife with everything in me but I guess the best way to put it is I’m getting cold feet. I want to run back home and find myself again. Find out what I want to do and want to be in life other then a military spouse.

How do I do all that without running away?

Sincerely, Cold feet
