10 Best Things About the Holidays in GIFS

The holidays are without a doubt, the best time of year.

It’s almost like that nip in the air this time of year carries a little extra magic with it as you scurry along to attend festivities with friends and put together shiny packages of love for family. This time of year it’s easy to get caught up in the whirling winds of stress rather than festivity, but next time you’re feeling a little overwhelmed, remember that this truly is the most wonderful time of year, and here’s why:

1. Holiday Drinks

It’s the little things right? Sometimes something as simple as filling your belly with a cinnamon, sugar plum, gingerbread, pumpkin spiced cup of joy is it all it takes to feel a little holiday cheer.

2. All the festivities

One of the best parts about the holidays is there is a never ending reason to get together with family or friends. Be it a work party, a cookie exchange or Secret Santa party, there’s always an excuse to gather with our loved ones this time of year.

3. Christmas Movies

I have seen Elf an embarrassing amount of times and if that’s wrong, I don’t want to be right.

4. Christmas Trees!

I admit, this is a weird tradition when you think about it. Our golden retriever gives us bit of side eye for choosing to decorate a large stick with a bunch of shiny balls every year, (that she’s not even allowed to touch!), but there’s something so festive and heart-warming about pulling out the Christmas ornaments that have been passed down through your family for year after year to hang them on the tree while listening to your favorite Christmas Carols. I can’t help but smile just thinking about it.

5. Time off!

This time of year it’s not just students who get a little extra vacation, we all get to have a little extra time off around the holidays to spend with family and friends and what’s not to love about that?
